Clear Acid-Catalyst Lacquers

Quick drying , easy sanding acid catalyst lacquers designed for manual or automatic spray application, coat-on-coat. Formulated to provide outstanding resistance to abrasion, wet and dry heat, spirit solutions and a wide range of household chemicals.

Meets the requirements of FIRA standard 6250: 2005 for horizontal surfaces (excluding kitchen worktops) and rated as Severe use.

Meets FIRA 5000 Bathroom, Water & Vapour Specification, and the Secretary of States guidance note for wood coating processes PG6/33(11) appendix 2. Lacquers of this type achieve their full resistance properties after 21 – 28 days curing, although careful use is possible before this period.

Catalysed 9:1 under normal conditions these lacquers will have a workable pot life of 36 hours.

Very Fast Dry Melamine Acid-Catalyst Lacquers

  • Touch dry: 15-20 mins minimum @ 18°C.
  • Recoatable: 1 hour @ 18°C.
  • Coverage: 40m2 per 5 litres
  • Tinting: Use Morrells Light Fast Stains up to a maximum of 5% (after catalysis)
  • Sandable: 45 minutes @ 18°C.
  • Packing: Overnight minimum
  • Typical Finish: 2-3 coats at 75g/m2 per coat, coat-on-coat

Fastmatch from Morrells is the foundation for all our customers’ colour matching requirements. 100,000 colours at the touch of a button and a shake of a tin! Fastmatch is available in Acid Catalyst, Precatalyst, Polyurethane, Waterborne, Fire-retardant and Patina stains, through Morrells Branch in Johannesburg.  Alternatively, ‘specials’ are formulated, manufactured and quality controlled at our headquarters in the United Kingdom, then given a unique production code which is held on file indefinitely. Our skilled laboratory colour matching team in the UK tint thousands of ‘specials’ for customers every year, and are dedicated to the highest standards of quality.

Fastmatch Acid-Catalyst Colours

A quick drying, high opacity pigmented range of acid catalyst colours providing outstanding resistance to abrasion, wet and dry heat, spirit solutions and a wide range of household chemicals. Products of this type achieve their full resistance properties after 21 – 28 days curing, although careful use is possible before this period.

Catalysed 9: 1, under normal conditions these products will have a workable pot life of 36 hours. Use Catalyst 5CAT/200 for gloss AC Fastmatch colours.

Available in White (BS 00-E-55), Black (BS 00-E-53) and a wide spectrum of Fastmatch colours.

Data Sheet For Acid Catalyst High Build & RFU Primers

UHS 2 Pack Primers & Sealers

Use UHS 2 Pack Primers , with 95% solids, when full gloss mirror finishing is required on high-end kitchens, bathrooms and shopfittings. They can be sprayed through normal cup guns and provide in 2 coats a completely filled, hard flat surface which sands easily. Catalyse at 9 : 1, pot life 1 – 1.5 hours. They are also used to reduce VOC emissions and are an alternative to polyester systems.
