Morrells Finishing Academy

Morrells offer a complimentary product and spray application course, lasting two days, for new and existing customers.

The training focuses on the correct selection and application of finishing systems for various wood substrates within different user industries e.g. furniture, shop-fittings, caskets, flooring, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. The course covers all modern lacquers including acid-catalyst, waterborne and polyurethane coatings together with the latest types of finishing equipment and recommended application techniques including the set up and use of AAA (Air Assisted Airless) and compliant spray guns. Advanced finishing systems including high gloss in both clear and pigmented coatings with burnishing techniques can be covered when appropriate.

The course includes practical demonstrations with full participation and interaction. Customers can take away the pieces of wood they have been working on, as a reference guide. There is also a certificate of completion for each trainee including full reference notes and personnel contact numbers from the UK’s leading producer of wood finishes.

Morrells Finishing Academy also provides courses in exterior joinery coatings, fire-retardant coatings and floor coatings. These are held at various times of the year dependent on demand.
