/520 Morrells Italian White Waterborne Primer

White waterborne primer with excellent opacity, build, adhesion and sag resistance. /520 is thinner and can be used as supplied ready for use, while /532 is thicker and can be thinned with water at a maximum of 15% by volume. Both can be catalysed as a two-pack system for improved physical and chemical resistance.

Catalysis

Catalysis is optional as /520 Morrells Italian can be used as a one- or two-pack system. For a two-pack system:

• /500 catalyst - best physical and chemical resistance (requires mechanical mixing)
• /508 catalyst - allows manual mixing but gives slightly reduced resistance compared to /500

• Pack sizes: 5kg 25kg
• Thinning: Water, maximum 15% by volume
• Pot life: 2 hours @ 20°C
• Touch dry: 60 - 90 minutes @ 25°C
• Sandable: 3 - 4 hours @ 25°C (12 - 24 hours if 2 or more coats used)
• Recoatable: 1 - 4 hours minimum @ 25°C
• Packing: Overnight minimum
• Typical finish: 1 - 2 coats at 100 – 180g/m², overcoated with 8I**3/450 waterborne topcoat
