Compliant Waterborne Wood Stains
A range of water-based stains suitable for hand, spray or dip application. The standard range consists of popular primary colours and a selection of the most widely used wood colours. Formulated on organic metal-complex dyestuffs dissolved in water which comply with the VOC requirements of Clause 19 of the Secretary of States Guidance Note for Wood Coating Processes PG6/33. Morrells provides a bespoke colour matching service for this type of stain and all the other stains in our range. All requests for special colours should be accompanied by a sufficient quantity of the timber to be used plus full details of the application method and finishing system to be employed.

Waterborne Wood Stains
These stain colours are based on an alcohol and water blend giving a rich colour to the wood. The 071 range provides a low VOC option when converting from solventborne stains, and is suitable for mass balance finishing systems. Morrells provides a bespoke colour matching service for this type of stain and all other stains on our range. All requests for special colours should be accompanied by a sufficient quantity of the timber to be used, a dry or liquid sample plus full details of the application method and finishing system to be employed.

Pigmented Waterborne Wood Stains
A range of pigmented water-based stains suitable for hand or spray application. Formulated on pigment dispersions dissolved in a water and alcohol solution for even colouring and minimal strike. Morrells provides a bespoke colour matching service for this type of stain and all the other stains on our range. All requests for special colours should be accompanied by a sufficient quantity of the timber to be used plus full details of the application method and finishing system to be employed.
