Liming Paste
Morrells Liming Paste is designed to give an attractive ‘white grain’ effect to open grained oak. Normally applied after a sealer coat, the paste is forced into the grain with a stiff brush or rag followed by removal of the excess paste with a new piece of open weave rag.

Patinas
Patinas and stipples are applied over a lacquer coat or sealer to achieve authentic aged and distressed effects. Application is by spray, although Stipples are often brushed or ragged. A feathered removal of the coating is required to achieve the best results. A bespoke colour matching service is available for this product range.

Stipples
A range of materials formulated on a blend of Goldsize, Pure Turpentine and
pigments for use in creating “antique” effects or artificial ageing of pieces of
furniture.Stipples should be typically brush or rag applied to sealed surfaces or
facings and should be left for a minimum of 4 hours before application
of final coats of lacquer
